There is something about this specific Wes Anderson movie that really makes me want to watch it. I'm not quite sure what it is, but I can definitely say that one of the contributing factors is the design.
Graphic design is my trade and I love creating which naturally makes film production design a dream job for me. I really have no idea how to get my foot in the door as a production designer to make all of the various props and such, but what an amazing and glamorous job it seems to be!
Annie Atkins, the Grand Budapest Hotel's lead graphic designer, was responsible for every prop on the film. She explains through her interview with Creative Review, her process as well as her experience working on the film. These props are just too beautiful to overlook!
